Empowering Africa’s future (Liberdade branch)

23rd Jul, 2024

It was a day full of excitement and fun as we
were all united not just as a school but also as a family bonding together over
different cultures and learning more about our beloved continent.

Each class was given the freedom to choose any of the 54 countries in Africa and spent days preparing any kind of performance to show off on the big stage. Students from Woodrose Liberdade in grades 0 through 12 gathered for a vibrant and energetic celebration honoring the Day of the African Child.

Every grade performed dances and recitations inspired by various African nations, making the event a kaleidoscope of performances. Every performance highlighted Africa's diverse cultural heritage.

Mr. and Miss Africa

The day was featured with students dressed in traditional attire from different African nations. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as the contestants for Mr. and Ms. Africa took center stage. Each participant exuded confidence and pride in their cultural heritage, showcasing a rich tapestry of traditions, languages, and customs.

The judges faced a challenging task in selecting the winners, as each contestant brought something unique and valuable to the stage. Ultimately, the titles of Mr. and Ms. Africa were awarded to individuals who not only embodied the spirit of the competition but also demonstrated a commitment to promoting unity and understanding among students of different backgrounds.
